He saved the best for last

Weekly, Christ comes to His bride the Church manifesting His glory in our midst.  Every Sunday is a wedding of sorts.  Christ the bridegroom comes into meet with you His bride, to speak wedding vows to you that He will never leave you nor forsake you.  He gathers us in celebration of the sign He has given, so that we have a foretaste of the feast to come in heaven. When the banquet-master at Cana tastes Jesus’ miracle wine, he exclaims, “...but you have saved the best till now!”  But he is mistaken. Jesus reserves the very best for His disciples the night He was betrayed, His own, life-giving blood.
