| The music at Glory of Christ is entirely scriptural, non-secular and always considered to be a part of an overall orthodox scriptural tradition of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. As with the spoken ministry, the musical ministry is dedicated to the glory of God. |
Generally, musical groups play or sing during the period from about Labor Day to Memorial Day. However, on Easter Sunday and Christmas Eve, most of the groups, with the exception of perhaps the youngest children play or sing. The children’s annual Christmas program is typically on the second or third Sunday in December. The Sunday School children also sing as a group during regular services about twice per year. There are also occasional solo’s, small instrumental and vocal groups. Outside musicians may be employed for services from time to time as well. |
Active participation is encouraged. Comments, criticisms, suggestions and questions are always welcomed. |
