Welcome to Glory Of Christ Lutheran Church!

The FELSISA, with Rev. Dr. Peter Ahlers, president, now financially independent, was started by the Bleckmar Mission Society of the German Evangelical Lutheran Free Churches. It is a small Lutheran body with 2000 members in 15 congregations. German and English are spoken, and other members who descended from Dutch settlers speak Afrikaans, a unique language developed in S. Africa.

The LCSA, also started by the Bleckmar Mission, has 12,000 members in 98 congregations with Bishop Dr. David Tswaedi as president, who preaches at a church in Soweto. Setswana and Zulu are the primary languages. The LCSA and the FELSISA are in fellowship with the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod.

Confessional Lutheran Education Foundation (CLEF)

♦ Works with Luther Academy to sponsor theological seminars on the Lutheran Confessions in South Africa

♦ Publishing a condensation of Pieper’s Christian Dogmatics

♦ Translating three Luther volumes –

“How to Live a Christian Life,”

“Don’t Tell Me That,”

“Does My Baptism Really Count?”

in Zulu, Tswana and Luganda (Uganda)

THE TSHWANE LUTHERANTHEOLOGICAL SEMINARY is an independent nonprofit organization under the Lutheran Church in South Africa located in Pretoria, 45 minutes from Johannesburg.The seminary has 35 students from Botswana, Uganda, Liberia, Sudan and Ghana. There are 5 teachers with Rev. Dr. Wilhelm Weber IV, as Rector.
